Rifts – Procedurally generated Infinite dungeons
We’ve introduced Infinite Rifts—dungeons that increase in difficulty as you progress through their levels. Each advancement presents tougher challenges but also offers greater rewards, providing a balanced risk-reward system.
To foster a competitive environment, leaderboards have been implemented to showcase the top performers in these rifts. This feature allows you to compare your achievements with others and strive for higher rankings.
We believe these additions will enrich your adventure, offering new avenues for character development and competitive play. We look forward to seeing how you utilize these features to enhance your journey.
Gemstone Items
These items function similarly to those in Diablo II ( Gems ) offering distinct benefits based on their placement:
- Weapons: Equipping a gemstone in a weapon slot grants elemental damage, allowing you to inflict additional fire, ice, or lightning damage on your foes.
- Off-Hand (Shields): Placing a gemstone in an off-hand slot provides elemental resistance, bolstering your defenses against specific elemental attacks.
Additionally, you can merge three gemstones of the same type to upgrade to a higher-level gem, amplifying their effects. This mechanic encourages strategic collection and utilization of gemstones to optimize your character’s build.
Early gameplay changes
We’ve implemented significant adjustments to the early gameplay experience to enhance progression and balance:
- Enemy Stat Rebalancing: Early-game enemies have been rebalanced to provide a more engaging and fair challenge, ensuring a smoother difficulty curve as you advance.
- Loot System Overhaul: The loot system has been refined to offer rewards that better align with your progression, enhancing the satisfaction of item acquisition.
- Elemental Attributes in Legendary Items: Legendary items now possess elemental attributes, granting additional damage types or resistances. This enhancement allows for more strategic combat approaches and aids in overcoming diverse challenges.
These changes aim to create a more cohesive and enjoyable journey up to the Mitar bosses, facilitating a smoother and more rewarding gameplay experience.
Important Market changes – Otto’s Trading Contribution
We have implemented significant updates to the Open Market to address previous economic imbalances and prevent unintended quest progress through infinite exchanges. These changes aim to stabilize the in-game economy and enhance the overall player experience.
Key Updates:
- Introduction of a Contribution Fee: A 10% contribution fee, with a minimum of 1 Trade Coin, is now applied to all market transactions. This fee is added to the seller’s price and deducted from the purchaser’s payment, ensuring sellers receive the full value of their items. This measure serves as a gold sink, helping to control inflation by removing currency from circulation. Wikipedia
- Quest Progression Through Market Purchases: Purchasing items from the market now contributes to quest and event quest progression. This integration allows players to advance in quests through market activity, providing more flexibility in gameplay. However, canceling offers or spending Trade Coins without completing a purchase does not count towards quest advancement, preventing exploitation of the system.
